Top Tip for wearing ALL your clothes

Open your cupboard doors and take a look at the full drawers, shelves and rails. Do you wear them all? Are there some you wear 5 times more than others? Are there some in there you haven’t worn for a couple of months?

Here’s my Top Tip for making sure you wear all your clothes:

Every morning, take the item of clothing that’s hanging in your wardrobe, wear it because you love it and when it’s laundered and you’re about ‘pop it away’….. hang it on the ‘most out of sight’ side. It’s winter so you can create an outfit around each different pair of trousers choosing a top you love then put them away ‘ as far away as possible’ lol.

Two things might happen very quickly:

1) You’ll create new outfits because you are finally wearing the clothes you haven’t noticed for a while.

2) You’ll notice the clothes for which you have resistance and that have arrived at the top of the pile or the front of the wardrobe that have never been there before. You know you’ve been looking at them each day for a while and now you know they’re in there taking up space and there’s little chance you’ll wear them.

So swap, swish or donate them and create space in your closets for the clothes you do love to wear.

It is said we wear 20% of our clothing 80% of the time. I can be a frightening task calculating the cost of those clothes you’re not wearing.

Try not to use this exercise as a way of creating space to buy more clothes before you know WHY you bought them in the first place because Knowing Why you bought them will stop you repeating those mistakes 🙂

If you don’t know Why then Contact Me because for as little as €350 you could perhaps save yourself ten times that by not purchasing clothes you don’t wear and be able to create a wardrobe full of clothes that are Wonderful.

P.S.  I have so few clothes I have SPACE in my wardrobes!  I’ve a capsule wardrobe based around my favourite neutrals, which I know makes some ladies go pale at the thought but it does mean that I wear everything To Death and all the pieces can be co-ordinated with everything else I have…

Must tell you about that sometime!

Stylishly yours,
